GM pinion depth question
Hope someone here can help me with a question on pinion depth, I bought a set of GM 4.10 gears, I am familiar with installing gears and the work and measuring involved, my question is this, On richmond gears (which I have installed in another vehicle) the checking depth is marked on the pinion gear, I am not sure of these GM gears, if anyone is familiar with Gm numbers or setup please help me out here, The numbers on the pinion gear are 14056110-9-37-gm. I have a 98 T/A with 3.42s in it and am changing to these, if I can not get the checking depth should I use the shim that was on these gears (they came out of a S-10) or should I use the shims on my 3.42s in my current setup on the T/A as a starting point
thanks

1999 Formula WS6 M6-sold- 2001 Silverado Z71
Housing are all about the same so I would start with the S-10 shim first as a starting point.
