    Cool GM Limited Slip Additive...

Hey, had a quick question: I'm going to change my rear end fluid and wondered if you can get the additive anyplace besides the pontiac dealer???

    Thanks, Kevin

I got my additive at Auto Zone---appears to be fairly common stuff around here anyway.

If you can get your hands on some Royal Purple gear oil you wont need it....it's already in it......

All of the synthetic gear oils meet and/or exceed the requirements for open and limited slip diffs. If you're going w/ dino, you may have to get the additive. I've seen it at NAPA, Autozone and Pep Boys. Don't expect to see it at a Kmart or Walmart though.

If you have the torque sensing Torsen-Thextal diff-it's a non-clutch type posi,it doesn't require the additive.Believe they all got this type posi in 99.
