    Firebird V6 rear end?

Hi guys does anyone know for sure if the V6 firebird rear end is the same as the stock trans am rear end?

I think the pinnion bearring is going out in mine, horrible noise sounds like i have 55 inch stuby mudders on the back. I found a v6 rear for 350, figured that would be cheeper than having a shop redo mine. But i dont know yet.

The rear would have worked, but it would be a one wheel peel and different gears.

Eh, it was on ebay.. it was 350 plus shipping who knows when it would have showed up. I got someone to rebuild mine this next week for $425 plus any hard parts that need to be replaced. Decided with the whine coming out of it to go ahead and replace the ring and pinion.. so i bought that off of summit. we'll see how it turns out i guess!

I watched a V6 Bird yesterday one wheel peel on wet pavement. Sorry V6 was not limited slip. It may have been an option, but wasn't standard.
