Drivetrain Clunking or banging with weight in car

Hi everyone!

I recently acquired a 97 V6 Firebird to replace my aging 190K mile V8 Thunderbird. Im still getting used a little less torque and a LOT less gas guzzling.

Unfourtunatley the car had been in a serious wreck a couple of years before i got it (family owned). Although it was repaired, it seems to still have a few things wrong with it. Although i am not completely sure this is when the problem started, im going to assume it was because i was unable to find any other information on it.

On to the problem. If i pack 2 or 3 of my buddies into this tiny thing, the drivetrain sounds like it is actualy hitting part of the underbody when i hit a bump or push the gas too hard causing the back end to kick down. I've tried to see where it is hitting but there appears to be some kind of shield over the entire drivetrain. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys!

I Dont Know About The V6 Models, But It Is Very Common For The V8 Models To Have The Trans Mount Come Apart This Causes A Loud Noise And You Can Feel The Trans Hit The Floor Pan The Good News Is The Part Is Cheep And Easy To Install
