Drive Shaft for Moser 9in
Im looking into buying a 9" off one of my friends who is upping to a narrowed MWC 9". He said that he used his stock driveshaft with no problems but he suggested that I should use a ds that is 1 inch longer. Can I use the stocker or should I get one that is 1 inch longer

Stocker will work.
Although the longer one will provide more depth for the splines.

I'll second that. I had a Spicer yoke on my one inch longer shaft I bought from LPE and after about one year and 50 or so 6 grand dumps the splines that were not engaged with the output shaft looked twisted very badly so the more engagement you get without bottoming the yoke the better.

I believe you will need an adapter as the stock DS is not the same yoke size as the Moser 9"...1350

Call MWC, they have drive shafts. I ordered a driveshaft when I ordered the rear.

If the budget allows it I would call MWC and purchase a PST aluminium shaft $400. Seen to many stock driveshaft blow and cause more than 400 bucks worth of damage.

I picked up a ujoint to adapt the stock driveshaft to the 1350 yoke just in case my PST driveshaft didn't arrive in time for me to take the car to Little Rock. The part number was PRE447 from O'Reilly's. Cost $25. Thankfully the PST driveshaft arrived- changing the u-joint on a stock driveshaft is a pain because you have to use a torch to heat it up to loosen the nylon adhesive they use to hold it in.

[QUOTE=LS3torque;2476315]Driveshaft loops are cheap and should already be in place if you are making enough power to need a 9inch...[/QUOTE Your point? shit happens and a loop helps but a driveshaft swinging around under there will tear stuff up.
