    differential fluid change

I am going to change the differential fluid in my 99 TA in the next couple of weeks. Is there anything I need to inspect or look for while the cover is off of the differential?
At 77,000 miles I have some gear whine and noise, but think this is probably normal. These cars dont have very much sound deadening in the back.

Do the differential bearings fail at a higher than normal rate in F body cars? If so, how do I know if I have a bearing failing.

    Thanks

check for any chipped teeth thats one of the biggies to look for. also look for abnormal amounts of metal shavings thats all i can think of.

some syth wont work with the posi unit, if you're going to do that do some research first. You don't want to run into trouble with it locking. Amsoil is one of these as I have found out from person experience. It's really only necissary if you are doing autox or racing at high speeds for prolonged periods of time where you need insurance of those friction modifiers back there to keep things cool
