convert auto to 6 speed

i have a 2001 SS. i was wondering if anyone knows how hard it is to convert it to a 6 speed. i was going to put the time in and do it but if its more than what it is worth i will just stick with the auto. come on guys give me know knowledge

Quite a bit of work. It has been done though. There are a lot of parts involved with a manual tranny. IMO it's more trouble than it's worth. Going from m6 to an a4 is much easier. I'd say buy one that's already a manual.
