    Best way to remove transmission

Hello, What is the best way to get at the top bellhousing bolt on an A4 trany?
Should I just drop the back of the trans down?

support the trans, remove the crossmember/torque arm
let trans hang off engine to access top trans bolt/harness bracket..ect...ect..
watch that you dont break the oil pressure sender good time to change oil pressure sender, rear main and back spark plugs with trans out.

it might be necessary to jack up on the front of the motor a little also

make sure you undo the torque converter from the flywheel,i know its common sense but i have seen people pissed because they couldnt get the tranny out and they hadnt even unbolted the t.c. yet

there is a small round (plug) about 11/2-2 inches across on the bottom of the bellhousing just to the driverside. pop that plug out and you can get a large flathead screwdriver in there to turn the motor over with the teeth on the flywheel. take the starter out and turn the motor till you can see the torque converter bolt in the hole where the starter was....there are 3 converter bolts..
good luck man, dropped mine and had it back in start to finish in about 2.5 hours last weekend so its not that bad
