    Bad Noise

So my rearend is squealing like a 1st grader and gets louder as the speed increases and when I come to a stop the right rear wheel feels like its trying to shake the lugs off. Diagnosis could either be overtorqued lugs, loose studs, or dry pumpkin. If the diff. is dry then the gears are definatley fried. I'm taking it to the dealer tomm. to check it out cuz I don't have the time to do it. I'll keep everyone updated. I was looking into a new gear set down the road, but not this soon.

    Getting a new rear end

Yea so my rear end is completely shot. Right rear axle splines are burned to hell, bearing is burnt to hell, and the seals are in terrible condition. I'm opening up the diff tomm. and am most likely going to see a dry case, and burnt ring and pinion. Anyways some good news i'm getting a new 9" rear end. My only question is should I get 3.73 or 4.10 gear set?? I'm looking to do some head and cam work in the future.

It depends on what kind of action you plan for your car. Is this also your daily driver or just a hot rod for weekends with some track or strip action? Also, is it an A4 or M6?
