Axle???

what spline axles are stock in the SS.. i want to upgrade and i dont know whats in there now..

They are 28 spline axles.

I've got a friend running over 500 to the wheels on a stock rearend (Axles and all) and he has run several passes at the strip with no problem. I can't believe it, but it is true. Its an automatic car but it does have a 3500 stall. He of course realizes that a break is very possible.

Talk about running on borrowed time! I'm at the 500HP [crank] mark, and am running the stock 10 bolt, although I've "girdled" it for the little tiny bit that it helps, until I want to shell out the $$$ to get a Moser 12 bolt with the 4:11's. My wife and I just dropped 12 grand on a Hot Tub and back yard renovations, it's all about priorities I guess. I have an M6 and try my best not to launch it too hard. It's good to hear that they will stand up to some abuse though.
