Auto transmission good or bad?

hey guys right now i have an 02 mustang gt with a 5 speed man. i love to drive it everyday through town and downshift when i want to do sum fun $hi+ every now and then.. i might be selling it here soon and i was looking at buying a 98' t/a ws6 only thing is its an auto... do you think i will miss the man. tranny at all or will the xtra boost in hp make me forget about it...thanks guys

Put a 3500 stall in the auto trannies, and they are just about as fun as a manual tranny

I agree.. my 3600 stall and shiftkit REALLY woke it up..

If you really enjoy shifting gears you'll miss the manual. I say keep looking until you find one. The extra HP will only keep you happy for a short time. It's just like a pay raise at work. Your happy for a little while but will always want more and that's when you'll be kicking yourself for not getting what you really want. To me if your asking this you don't want an auto.

You'll miss the manual, don't get the auto.

My first 4th gen was a M6 Formula, now I have an A4. Honestly, I didn't even like the M6 that much, it used to frustrate me because I couldn't launch it to save my life. Not the car's fault, I'm just a lowsy stick driver.

After driving the A4 for a while, I miss the M6.

Now if you ENJOY your manual, 3 days in the A4 and you'll be sick of it. Plus the stock A4 feels alot slower, these cars feel like beasts with the M6.
