    9" owners inside please

Anyone ever replace the o-ring seal that is on the axle bearing??

Any idea what size it is?? Would rather not have to pull it out until I was ready to swap the o-ring, gasket, and fluid.

if it is a Moser axle, the bearing is probably a ball bearing type. i have seen them wear and leak through the bearing, so you may wanna check that out. the bearing o.d. is 3.150. it is not a factory type bearing, so parts stores will not have it. it is just a standard o-ring. may wanna try hardware stores and ask for a 3 x 3/32 o-ring will get you by. if not call Strange or Moser and have them mail one to ya.

Moser told me it is a 2.5" o-ring.

Everything local places had was too thick.
I will pull the axle sometime and check it, I hope that isn't it...because it has been a slight leak since the whole new rearend went in.

I had that problem and had to match one up with measurements. I got one from like a 79 Ford F150 from Napa to match up as close as possible it was more like 2.475 or something like that. Not quite 2.5. Used a digital mic to measure the ID and went from there.

It isn't. Slow leak on the passenger side.

My biggest problem is that it leaks all over the inside of the wheels.

They sent me the center section stud I needed, but refered me to the local auto parts shop for the o-ring.
Probably be talking to them again Tuesday about getting a while new bearing.
