3.91 Gears in GTO??
Well I've done a ton of reading on the board here and while some guys will say 3.73 is a better choice--the majority seem to go with 3.91
Heres my setup:
2005 GTO with an A4--3600 stall
ported intake--stock heads and cam (224/224, .580/.580)
LT headers.
Its a DD that I drive 30 miles a day (half city and half highway).
I also drive it to the track probably 6 or 7 times a year.
I always run on R's and skinnies at the track and this year my best runs were:
12.06 @ 113 mph with a 1.71 60 ft. I have 60 ft's in the 1.65 range on another day but the weather was hot so times were a bit slower.
It runs throught the traps at arouund 5200 rpm currently.
I am really leaning towards the 3.91 over anything else--just seems like it will work best for me but Id love to hear any opinions/comments.

Go deeper. You'll wish you hadn't if you don't. My GTO's stock but I have 4.11's on the z with the 3600 stall and never looked back.
