    Sadly now demodded :(

3.73's are the most common gear ratio upgrade in an A4 car. I don't remember if it changed the shift points as it's not my DD. I did it cuz it was a GU2 code (2.73). When I installed a 3400stall TC it didn't matter anyway. What it will affect most is your top end speed.

the short answer is yes....it'll lower your shift mph. I'd have to look at my tune to see exactly where I have mine set to shift but I believe it's low 20's vs 40ish for stock on the 1-2 shift at wot. I'm also shifting at 6500 rpm too though and I had to play with all those numbers quite a bit after the stall to get it to shift where I wanted it.

    when i had my 3.73's, i could ring out 1st to 35ish, 2nd to 75ish 3rd at near 135/140mph. shift points at 5900rpm

this was with the stock converter

there ya go...take his answer. I mainly just ballparked the mph and then used my rpm's to set my shift points.

I swapped from the stock 3.23 to a 3.73 and it does lower your shift mph and top end speed but it's alot more fun to drive and I still get decent gas mileage. My car didn't come with 2.73's so you should notice a bigger difference than me. I still have the stock stall for now but set my shift points at 6100 rpm till I do the cam and get some new springs. My car runs about 2500rpm at 70.

I went from 3.23's to 3.73's, and can say the biggest difference will be when you replace your stock TC with a performance unit.
