    3 or 4 channel???

how can I tell what I have?

I have abs and if the ASR switch on the dash means I have tcs than I'm pretty sure I have a 4 channel.

I need some help on how to know for sure

Traction control or ASR is always 4 channel as there has to be a sensor at each rear wheel. Looking under the car, you will see a module attached to each brake backing plate with an electrical connection. An ABS only car has a single sensor on the differential housing.

I'm thinking of getting c6 Z06 brakes on the back but on kore3.com it says that you can't run a 4 channel if you want to have an emergency brake with that set up because of the relucter ring being in the way.

what would happen if I ditched the relucter ring and the TCS sensor; besides losing TCS capability??? will the computer not let the car drive or something weird like that?

I'm all straightend out now. Tobin from kore3 is super helpful. I'm going to ditch the E brake to keep the 4 channel and drill out the stock backing plates to 9/16. the Z06 calipers and rotors will bolt right up without a bracket. and he gave a base price quote for under a grand for the parts.

Just for other people's info, no that won't stop you from driving the car, unless you don't like seeing those lights on the dash lit up. You will not have ABS or TCS tho, if any one of those sensors are disabled. I like ABS, is certain situations like dry pavement/rwet pavement. I hate TCS, tho. My TCS is my right foot.

I know right. I have no clue why I wanted a M6 with TC back in 2000. All is it did was get in teh way when I was working on the car for the last 10 years.

I hate the tcs but I don't want to lose the abs. with my suspenion mods it makes one of the rear tires come up off of the ground when I go up driveways at an angle and if I have my foot on the gas, the dumb ass tcs kicks on. I have to make sure I turn off the asr everytime now

ASR. Somewhere on here this forum is a way to make it turn itself off by default, instead of on like the factory does. You then hit the switch to turn it on. It might be only for the GTOs, tho, I can't remember. I believe some sort of module plugs into the wiring harness just before the switch to make it work that way.
