2 clunks. rear end and trans

when I shift my car manually from 1 to 2, and dont have any throttle in it....it clunks into 2nd. like it engages hard.

also, sometimes coasting into a corner, then puttin my foot back into it, I can hear a clunk from the rear end also.....I dont know if this is from the posi unit or what.....but I dont really like either of em.......

i think the rear end noise is normal, I dont know how loud of a clunk you are hearing, but I have one too.

If i get out of the throttle quickly, it sounds like the ring catches up with the pinion and makes a nice little noise, i think its just a camaro thing

ive got the same thing. had it in the shop and they say everything looks good. they called around and a guy that works on these cars all the time says it is just were the backlash is set a little loose from the factory. they told me that could set it tighter and get rid of the clunk but it would burn my gears up faster. if it makes you feel any better my tahoe done the same thing i just hear it more in the WS6
