    12 bolt swap Driveshaft?

Will i need a new driveshaft when switching rears? I plan to swap in a month and already plan to get new wheels(narrowing the rear 2.5 or 3 inches on each side), and wasnt sure if i would need a new driveshaft or not.

I believe I ended up with a shaft about 5/8" shorter if I recall. Give me a minute and I'll post a link.

I've never needed a new shaft on the conversions I've done unless you use the 9".

I just built a 12 bolt for my wifes car, used the stock shaft with an adapter joint for the 1350 yoke.

ok cool. I guess I can test fit and see if its to close to the trans or it binds. By adapter joint you just mean a U joint with larger cups that bolt into the yoke, right?

I used a factory drive shaft with my Strange 12 bolt in my TA (6spd) with no issues. The yoke did extend further into the trans but never appeared to bottom during 6 months of street driving. Good Luck!
