i have a 1998 chevy 2500 reg cab long box 5.7L want to get some extra power out of it . want to know what a good exhaust / intake /chip(or programer) to get also want better fuel econ thanx joe

Depends on how much you want to spend. Exhaust is a matter of personal preference and alot of the cold air intakes seem to be pretty much the same. I would recommend getting a stainless exhaust, I spent $400 on a Gibson alumized and it rotted out in a couple years. Forget the chip get your computer reprogramed, after you do your other mods. You can send it off to get reprogramed or order a second. Reputable tuners will usually do future adjustments for free if you send it back to them. If part of the reason for doing these things is for better mileage don't bother because it'll take forever to save enough gas to pay for them. If you want power & better sound go for it.
