G'day and welcome. I have to say that this is the best site to get your questions answered and everyone is really friendly. Just post up a question and you're sure to get an answer pretty quick. And hey, we all had to learn about cars sometime. Some of us just learned a little earlier. And it never stops either. As long as your willing to learn, no one will rag on you for that.
It's not how fast you can go. It's how fast you can get there.

You appreciate the car more when you're the one who maintains it. Welcome aboard.

Thanks for the welcome. Now my plans are to make my everyday driver 99 gmc seirra into a lifted head turner and street performer. Something that looks good and play in the mud a little but i want to be able to stomp the gas and have people say wow! But i don't know where or what i can exactly do to my 5.3 vortec. Can anybody give me some pointers

Your only limitation is your budget. Other than that, anything is possible.

You said a 346. Now i never heard of a 346 what exactly is that. Now my truck is a 5.3l now isn't that a 323? I am familiar with the old 305,350,454 etc...... These new engines and everythinf being fuel injected can be confusing but i am learning. Now what would i have to do to change mine into the 346 that you mentioned. Cause you mentioned new heads and cam. What size would you suggest?

I don't know the cubes of the 5.3 I guess it is similar to the 307. You have a smaller bore than the ls-1 but because it is an iron block you can bore it out. I don't recall if the stroke is the same as the ls-1's.

This is my friend Chris' pickup.
It's a 2000 GMC Sierra 1500. This is the build sheet so far:

    Appearance Mods:
Westin Chrome push bar with dual fog lamps
    LUND moon visor
    Illumatic white face gages
    LUND hard toneau cover

    Suspension Wheels/Tires
Superlift 6" suspension kit (complete with shocks)
    Super Swamper Truxxus MT 35x12.50x16
    Motometal Series MO950 16" Wheels

    Motor/Drivetrain
    K&N Cold Air Intake
    Transgo Performance Shift Kit
    Flowmaster Super 40 cat-back exhaust

This was actually a fun project (and still in the works). It definately turns heads, and it sounds awesome.
