GM 12 bolt truck axle

i have a GM 12 bolt truck axle that has 4.56 richmond gears, all new bearinds and seal, a lock right dif, and new brakes.

wanting to sell it for around $400 OBO. that was just the price ofthe locker alone!

Coil spring 1972 and back? Or leaf spring 1973 to 1979?

i forget the exact year but i believe it came from an early 80's or late 70's pickup.

it is the leaf style, it is currently in my 53' chevy pickup but is being replaced it a ford 9inch(i want to to a gear to gear comparison and with a 9inch i can swap gears at the track to get the best 1/4 mile performance. i will look into it more to find the exact year, should be able to tell ya monday afternoon

it is a 78 leaf style, with the spring perches on bottoms for lowered trucks
