Here is a great write up on doing a cam swap:

    http://www.ls1.com/forums/f7/camshaft-swap-how-166914/

Granted it's an LS1, but the 5.3 is still an LS based motor and the process should be the same.

Installed pacesetter LTs, beehive valve springs, pushrods, and a k and n cold air intake along with the cam. When i get a chance ill post a video with the exhaust done. The exhaust is the headers into the pacesetter offroad y pipe (which brings it back into one), a hollowed out cat, a y pipe to split back into duels, and two delta 40 flowmaster mufflers.

So far its not tuned yet. Im hopefully going to green bay sometime in the near future to get it tuned by either Big 3 Performance, or Beyond Redline.
