99 Suburban 5.7 tune out EGR HP Tuners
My uncle has a 99 Suburban 5.7. The EGR needs to be replaced. His cost for the part from the dealership is over $200. I told him that I could just tune it out for the cost of credits ($100). I looked at the tune from the HP Tuners Tune Repository. It dosen't have an enable/disable like the F-body tune.
This is how I am thinking of doing it.
Change: EGR Min VSS to 0mph
Change: EGR Diagnostis Enable Speed to 0MPH
Then change all EGR DTCs to 3-No Error Reported and uncheck SES Enable
Is there something else I shoud look at?
Thanks,
Ryan
