90mm on an LM7
Hey,
I was foolin around online, and i came about a 90mm throttlebody intake maniold for a 2005 SSR. I bought it and lookin forward to installin it on my 2006 tahoe. I will also be changin out the heads to the GM ls6 LPE editions and puttin in the nice newly designed lifters.
The throttle-body will need a spacer to adapt my bbk 80mm to the four bolt pattern on the new intake...
I am currently at 245hp with 300lbft. I think by the time i finish i will gain about 50hp and 40lbft which should be right where i would love to be.
Has anyone else tried this swap? or similar??

you won't gain much if anything if you don't get the 90mm tb to go with it

I dont see any 90mm 8 pin throttle bodies in the whole market...I adapted a bbk 80mm to work on a 90mm intake manifold, with no issues..
Our original TB is actually a 75mm blade funnellin to a 72mm exit...
BBK was 80mm blade funnellin to a 75mm exit, but i machined mine to exit with a 85mm exit...
I will post my findings once i get it on a dyno...

Well, i have to say, it is difficult for me to get my hands on that...I ill try my ported 80mm bbk throttle body and see what comes out of it...What i have noticed is on my stock intake manifold the idle air hole is not used. With the new 90mm intake manifold it will use the idle air hole and 80mm at the rear of the TB rather then 72mm (stock) or even 75mm (BBK)...I am guessin i will make 15-30hp and 10-20ftlb with this...The new intake flows better then the stock...
