2008 Silverado acceleration hesitation
Ever since new my 2008 5.3 Silverado has had a hesitation on full throttle. I assume it's something to do with the throttle by wire system. It's mainly from a dead stop and it does with traction control on or off. Anyone know of a solution?

Are you at a dead stop and floor it? If so I have a 07 that does the same thing, takes of real slow then gets moving. I think it's something with the way they come from the factory. A tune or program from JET or Power Programmer, may be a solution.

2007 Cadillac Escalade- 98 Camaro SS, 09 G8 GT
It's the torque management in the stock tune. I have a Westers tune in my truck (they specialize in trucks and suv's) and couldn't be happier. It made a night and day difference and I get better gas mileage.

My '01 Silverado didn't do this which is why I suspect it's the throttle by wire.

It seems like other than the torque management situation, manufacturers add a little delay to the drive by wire. Because you are in the Houston area I would get a Wheatley tune. You just drive your truck to himand he'll tune it right there http://gowheatley.com/
