ok... does anyone know how it works if you make a balloon payment... i know if you pay extra they take off interest... so if i have persay 12k still owed... would i call in and say what would my end payment be and it would be a bit cheaper with all the interest taken off?

That can depend. Can depend on whether or not your loan is simple or compound interest. But in most cases your "payoff" will be quite a bit cheaper than if you paid all the payments due to interest. If you can figure out how much of your payment is interest per month, then multiply that number by how many months you have left to pay, and subtract that from your total loan, should roughly be your payoff.

ok thanks... i need to now figure out how much that is... that would be a nice saving... didnt think about that... so if i have persay 12000 owed which i should have just under that owed by the time i sell/pay it off... i bet it would take off close to 1000 bucks in interest...

If your interest rate was 8% for example, just take your payoff x .08 then subtract the total of that from your payoff.

    Example: 12,000 x .08 = 960. 12,000 - 960 = $11,040

WOW - i paid 12.5K for mine - i didnt really mind the mileage because the motor only had like 20K on it and with all the mods i wanted i didnt see a point in hacking a low mileage one, especially for what they are going for
