    That hurt

    Public Service Announcement:

When replacing your kichen sink with a 100+ pound cast iron model, make certain that ALL of your fingers are clear BEFORE the sink makes contact with the countertop. Fingers make for lousy caulk.

My left "you're #1" finger is still oozing out blood from under the nail from yesterday's installation. Got it done though.

No, just sore. Blue on both sides (nail and pad). I flattened the hell out of it, and got the ring finger a bit too. Just a little blue nail. My middle finger looked like a piece of hamburger meat was coming out from under the nail.

I thought I had it too. No sweat holding it, but as I positioned it above the bead of silicone I had ran around the edge of the countertop, things went south. Luckily I had installed the faucet and drain kits prior to that, and only had to connect the water lines and drain plumbing. I got the bead of silicone "fingered" smooth, and commenced to drinking beer. That was the end of my Veteran's Day!!!

You're probably going to need to lance your nail and let the blood out if it continues to hurt/throb. Oh...and happy belated veteran's day!
