Come on Rich, you don't know what you are missing. I can't imagine what it must be like down your way where the population is probably 10 times what it is up here.

A lot to be said for on-line shopping after that experience.

Well, the last few years were spent working. And during that time, I used to see folks fight over parking spots, bargains, etc. And after seeing that story about the Wal-Mart security guard getting trampled in NY, that was even more convincing to do my shopping from home, or shop after Black Friday.

Eh, I enjoy watching any dirt bike racing ... but my favorite is the outdoor racing where you get the elements involved. It's a tough sport, that's for damn sure ... I still get ridiculously sore from riding one or two days straight ... but then again, they're riding $40k bikes with super maintained suspension and tires which is probably why I get so sore

I HATE watching girls race haha ... although there is a super talented deaf 16 year old that kicks everyone's ass.

Got in from my interview. Firestone is flat rate which means if the day is slow, I will be making less money than on days that are busy. Called STS and the manager told me he couldn't get ahold of the regional manager. Told me to go to an STS near me and fill out another application and have them fax the application to the location where I was interviewed. Nearest one is in Fair Lawn, where an old Sears buddy of mine currently works. Turns out my old manager from the Paramus GoodYear(first full-time job since graduating high school) and Sears Auto also works there. Gave me a BIG hug and asked how I was doing and asked about the parents and we chatted. Faxed my new application and called the regional manager. Asked me if I would be interested in any other STS location and I told him I am available. As we chatted, I found out other coworkers from Sears are working for STS now. It's like family all over again. Feels so great.

Monkey balls! My brother borrowed our Durango today to go buy a gun safe. He called me from up on the interstate and said that both the ABS and Brake warning lights had come on. Still had brakes so he kept going and made it home without a problem. Not a clue -- first time its had this issue, so I'll have to take a look at it tomorrow.

Maybe a speed sensor not reading right?

Winner! I did some searching on the net and there is a sensor mounted on the top of the rear differential that goes bad. Probably a $40 part that takes all of 15 minutes to swap out. We're going to try that and see what happens.

Yup. Sounds like my car when I bought it. Had an "ABS FAULT" message on the digital display and the ABS light lit on the dash. Previous owner had bypassed the ABS system when he installed the diff cover to drag race. Repositioned the pass side rear sensor closer to the reluctor ring on the diff and everything is kosher.
