    Better to drive there than fly.

    OK...fellow NASCAR nuts...if I recall correctly, number 44 has ALWAYS been a Petty number as well as the blue with red stripe on the hood/trunk, white pinstripe along the beltline and red along the rocker panels. But here is the thing...it's not a Dodge, it's a Ford Fusion. Did I miss an announcement that Petty Enterprises has gone to the blue oval?

    Petty = 43.

    Yah, but didn't 44 used to be a Petty number? Like Lee Petty was 42, Richard was 43, Kyle took over 42, then Adam was 45 and Kyle took over 45 after Adam's death, and John Andretti was 44 a few seasons ago. Number 44 is now A.J. Allmendinger. But the car he is driving is in a Petty paint scheme.

    I just looked online. Looks like Petty is running Fords for 2010.

    I haven't ridden since I was a kid. My daughter and wife both take lessons... I clean stalls.

    Phew! Just finished the pipe run to the upper garage. Probably not a chance my parts will be in by Wednesday, so it'll be next week before I get to light off the new compressor.
