Yah. I sent a few links over to Spitiko, FutureWS6 and Mustang Killa up in the FBody section. Gettin tired of the R.I.P. threads up there.

I pulled the trigger this afternoon...

Moser 12 bolt, 3.73 gears, True-Trac, 33 spline axles, 4 channel ready, welded on sway bar brackets, and welded relocation brackets. Should be ready for pick up in 2-3 weeks.

Just watched EXTREME RICE two more times. I LOVE IT!!! I love speed metal. Takes me back to my high school mixer and called out a mosh pit. Oh what fun.

One trip to the track is all it took. Figured I had better fix the weakest link before I do anything stupid... especially 2 hours from home. I couldn't believe how sticky the track was. Even with 30 lbs. of air in the tires and no warm up the car felt like it was launching hard. Reading about all the rear end carnage on here had me just a tad nervous, even at pretty much stock horsepower.

Sweet a smart owner on here! Though those 7.625" 10 bolts are easy to rebuild.

I hear ya. When I went to Lebanon Valley Dragway in August, I had a feeling the diff was gonna give up...which it did, but on the way home. I still have the factory diff in the crate sitting in my back yard waiting for a TrueTrac.

I have never been a fan of the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" way of doing things. I'd rather take care of stuff and not have problems later.

Do the GTO rears have issues, or was it just plain bad luck?

I think it was bad luck in my case as the previous owner raced it before I bought it. But I have heard of folks launching at 5k rpm and BOOM!!! I have also been told the 05/6 diffs are stronger than the 04s.

Congrats! There is one thing that I have never tried -- a White Castle burger. I don't think there is a White Castle anywhere near us.

From what I've heard from those who've been to Jersey and experienced you aren't missing anything

That would make them even better imo. I just checked their website -- closest White Castle for me is either in Ohio or New Jersey. That's about 4 hours just to grab lunch.
