yeah, under the cowl, behind the manifold, between the engine and heater box and ac lines and dipstick etc. Cant get to it from the bottom due to exhaust pipes. I either lost weight and my arm is skinnier, or i found a new hole to get to it from. It hurt, my arm hurts, but i got the bitch changed.

I still dread all 8 plugs on LT1s even with the TSS spark plug socket

Fresh fluid and car seems to run smoother than when I bought it...or maybe it's me since I haven't driven the car in three weeks.

    But I am pleased.
You got a set of gears installed at the sametime to gain full advantage of that cam right?

1, 3 and 5 on the drivers side are pretty easy. The passengers side is the one that gives me the biggest pain in the ass. I did the drivers side from below, pass. side from above.

I might hafta nut up and drive this bitch to the gm garage and have them diagnose it for me. I got new plugs and wires for it, and I need to try to find out of its an intake leak or not before I drive it the way it is. Might try an idle air control valve at the same time, i had mine out for cleaning and i dont know if i fucked it up or not.

When you put the IAC back in, did ya drive the car at 40 mph for a minute? I think that's the IAC relearn, it's been a while since I have replaced one.

The car barely runs Unless I put it on jackstands it aint goin 40. It just idles up from 1500 on startup to 2100 and stays there.

You may have to take the IAC back out, push the pintle in by hand, then reinstall the IAC and drive the car to relearn it.

Yea when I had it out before it didnt move very easy. I cleaned it out real good and pushed it in an out a few times, but then I couldn't move it anymore

I don't know what kind of RPM's it runs at when its stuck.

When I replaced the IAC in my Beretta GTZ, it idled at 2 to 3k IIRC. When I drove it to relearn it, the idle dropped back to normal. I made SURE the IAC gasket was in place as to not cause a leak.

Yeah this thing had no gasket that I could see. Just a plastic IAC on an aluminum TB.

Theres so many things I want to check but either just cant, or don't know how, or don't have the means to.

I would really like to know how to tell what the fuck kind of signal the coolant temp sensor sends out. I want to know why my code scanner says it was reading -40*F when the motor was off but still warm from a previous run. It makes no sense.

I have never seen an IAC without a gasket. Maybe the gasket is still in the TB?

meh, could have been. I have to pull the TB off to get to it, but I cant physically remove the TB from the car cause of coolant lines. I just unbolted it (gasket stayed good on that) and unbolted the IAC valve and cleaned it, threw it back in and hoped for the best.

Reminds me of when I was at Spaz' house and saw Jeremy(LS1Camino)'s GTP. I saw the Pedobear sticker on his passenger side rear window and screamed out "PEDOBEAR!!!" We ed.

I managed to get the Corvette about 1/4 mile down the road before it destroyed the rear sway bar.

Not a damn clue what caused it, but the bar bent out, contacted the rims, and was causing the rear of the car to hop up and down as the bar rode the rim up and then slipped back down.

Back into the garage and ripped it all off in about 30 minutes. Took it for a ride downtown a few minutes ago and everything seems good now. So much for having a rear sway bar on it.
