    '98 WS6 M6 - SWAPTIME!

    hmm. all you folks talking about my TA last night;

    TB - clean as a whistle. it's had maybe 100 miles +/- since I ported/polished it and cleaned it. didn't disassemble it as far as the blade, ect. didn't port near the blade for a leak.
    Mani - checked last night w/ a smoke machine, no leaks.

    I could only keep it on for like 5 minutes last night thanks to the crazy fucks next door. I'll work on it again Friday. My cam changed my firing order (I don't know what order it went to, I forgot the grab the spec sheet before I left for work this morning) so I'm thinking I need to extend the two coil feeds and switch the two that changed in order and adjust my IAC ... the PCM is supposted to idle higher to compensate for the cam, according to my teacher ... but it's just weird. It's not an idle, it's surging closed loop then idling in open. But I took into consideration what Spaz said about running heat/defrost ... but I had to do that to open the new thermostat and burp the system of air I'll figure it out.

    I DID fix that f-ing F150 last night though. Over evaluated EVERYTHING. The bolt that held down #6 coil pack had a stripped bolt "holding" it down and the coil pack just wasn't working at all

    The pcm will increase the idle for the cam only if you program it too. You can cheat by opening the the hole in the tb. If that cam did in fact alter the firing order you'll have to redo the firing order in the pcm as well.... Still wouldn't cause your surge though

    Mine does it on occasion with the jeep, I just remoe it and the throttle boddy and give them a good cleaning. It started by using a K&n filter now it is due to blowby from the crappy crank case ventilation that they had back then.

    True. My car was had a tune in it when I went in it in October to adjust the timing - but I don't remember if anything was done on the idle. I have the hole in my TB open still ... I was thinking extend the coil feeds, swap the switched cylinders and adjust it in the PCM ... otherwise my car is going to run like an ass. haha

    to much work... you can do that through a tune...
