In my experience all it did was make the need for a higher amp alternator more obvious. if you have a loud stereo and use your accessories the car jus doesnt charge well at idle etc. They really are a waste of money. They are a newb mod imo. Nobody puts them on and goes, holy shit my car is fuckin flyin now!
ya i didnt even think about my system affecting things. thanks for your opinion i think ill save my money for my inevitable rear end replacement.

Yeah, thats what I was thinking, as its going to be a secondary/learning car and need to work out the bugs of the setup first.. and I've spent WAY more on the project that I EVER wanted to.. so I need to stop spending and start assembling.. so who would be the best to go with stock replacement stuff? I've never had to deal with these parts...

Yeah, the D1SC w/ 4.5" twin intercoolers, 6 rib pulley, new tensioner, ATI balancer, new pinning kit, and a bunch of other need mods would have cost me around 6K for the complete kit, not including the injectors and pump

save your money, and when you finally decide what you want, what you plan on shooting for and what your combo is really gonna be, then pick out the good stuff. Rather then spend money on it now and it not be what you really want later. Jus my 2cents.

If you are going to do that, then use the stock parts. LT1's have a great stock valvetrain, unlike the LS1's

I recommend you pin the crank even with the p1sc

You have to or it would spin. The P1SC comes with one, but I don't even need to use it since I am just swapping balancers.

It has worked out real well, since the guy I bought it off of is returning his car back to stock for the most part. I am selling him my fans, rad support, balancer, valance and such, so I am getting some of my money back!

" I didn't listen to myself very well, and this morning, in a hurried rush to get to my office, I slammed down on the clutch to start the car, and the wire wrapped itself under the bottom of my shoe, and I yanked it down and out of wherever the hell it was plugged into.

I feel funny saying this after showing off all of the wiring and modificationizing (that's my new word, dammit) of my computer, but I couldn't find where the hell to plug it into!

There are two types of guys on the planet: Car Guys, and Computer Guys. Rarely does one know anything about the other's realm. I, obviously, am a Computer Guy, and know jack fucking shit about cars. "
