Glad to hear everyone had fun, but wasn't aware of Shelby having her SS totaled. Are they doing ok?
yeah, she made a thread about it, also in the TX Forum. She fractured her wrist, and JP got the worse of it breaking both bones in his leg and dislocating his right ankle. from what i heard he had to have emergency surgery and is in a lot of pain. a matress flew out of a truck (people kept driving/drove off) and they ended up rear-ending a car that had stopped on the highway to advoid hitting the mattress. the truck they hit was also totalled from what Shelby has said. those people made it out with minor cuts and brusies and one had a broken nose...

the matress had all the info on the people who bought it and they are in a heap of deep shit...

it pisses me off because it was completely an avoidalbe accident, that if the people took 30 seconds to secure their load it never would have happened...

Sad to hear and I hate to ask this, but was the mattress owner blamed for the mess, meaning were they ticketed and his insurance having to pay for everything?

I should have been a little more specific, it was on a 1/2 ton pickup. 90% of the transmission stayed in the truck. Basically, the pan, valve body, separator plate, 2nd accumulator, and boost valve came out for bench work... other than that, the friggin' crossover pipe from the exhaust and the frame crossmember were pissin' me off. oh, and that stupid clip that holds the shift cable boot.

i do not know. shelby has not posted up anything in that regards. she has said that her insurance will pay for her hitting the truck and have her car and those people covered. she went on to say that they would then sue the people who caused the accident to recoupe/recover some % of the whole incident...

Did it once on a friend's car.. and dropped another one by myself that will go into the 87... but the T56 is a HELL of a lot easier to handle than the damn 700r4!!!!

So the diff gasket from a 3rd gen will fit a 4th gen rear just fine is what you are telling me?

Sorry.. should have been clearer.. you asked if the 10 bolts were the same.. they both bolt up to the cars (4th gen in a 3rd gen.. etc) but the 4th gen rear is 4 inches wider than the 3rd gen.. so it would stick out 2 inches both sides... but as far as the cover.. do a quick check on like Advanceautoparts websitee for the covers of both a 3rd gen and a 4th gne and see if the part number's match..
