Heard about that car. Apparently Hyundai is going after the Lexus, Mercedes, BMW etc RWD higher hp performance sedan. Alot of people want the status cars, but can't afford them so there is Hyundai's target market. Good and bad idea. High hp cars are really not big sellers right now

The Scion seats are crappy. I hated my friend's TC it felt like I was sitting on a cardboard box with a milk crate underneath. No cushion, no give, cloth material was ICK!

For a cheaper DD I'd say a Sonata is a good value and has creature comforts. They are also a decent ride for a cheaper car

Honestly for $40k you can buy a brand new Volvo, Grand Prix GXP ($30k+), Malibu with the 8cyl, Lower end Mercedes, Lower end BMW, Dodge Charger with an 8cyl, Ford Mustang GT. There are a shit ton of better choices in that price bracket then a Hyundai

I honestly lost all interest in the new camaro. The anticipation is GONE! GM waited way too long to put that into production and personally the specs on it make me never want to even look at it. Thing is a fat pig, not enough hp and the car looks too bulky to be a "muscle car". I might actually turn into a ricer if GM keeps putting out shit like that.
No I wouldn't do that, but I sure as hell will never buy a GM again unless it's at the newest a 2002. They lost me when they stopped making real cars

But if you can get past the name recognition, the Hyundai Genesis is a damned impressive car. Not only heated seats, but a COOLED driver's seat. Premium leather, extremely good sound system, REAR-WHEEL drive, all the creature comforts, rain-sensing wipers, back-up camera, GPS, XM, MP3 w/30 gig HD, Pretty good MPG (17 and 26, respectively), in a car UNDER 4000 pounds with 375 HP (out of a 4.6 liter) and a 6 or 7 speed AT. It might just give a 3V GT a run for the money, performance-wise. While the higher-end cars may be close in price for the "in" names, the maintenance costs will be appreciably higher than Hyundai.

At one time, Honda was considered a POS. Now its the standard other imports try to compare with.

I think Hyundai is really on the right track. So much so that I'm considering a Sonata Limited or an Azera as a replacement car for my wife.

I agree about the new Camaro. It seems to be over-rated when you consider the anticipation versus the end result. It LOOKS heavy, and apparently looks ain't deceiving. It's gonna take a lot of HP to make that car quick, and it just doesn't look stable to me. The good thing is it makes my choice easy. I'm gonna have a nice '99 with enough modifications to easily out-perform the NA models coming out. They ain't making any more 98-02's, so we might just be wise to keep them up rather than buy a newer version. Maybe that's just the poor guy in me talking.
