Any chance you have two plug wires switched around?

I have to say I doubt it, I changed them one at a time when I did my plugs/wires, and it ran just as shitty before I did all of that.

I wonder if the TPS can be fucked up on my car (ie: if it were at all adjustable). Its cheap (22$). I had replaced one before on a Talon taht had slots instead of mounting holes so that it was adjustable, what a bitch.

I'm not sure if my scanner will read the TPS output, would have to check. I know my Hypertech will, but it is specific to the LS1.

We have one of the OBD2 code readers, but i dont have any codes to read. I'm sure if i read the manual for it, it will tell me how to go about using the thing to read O2 sensors or other sensor inputs.

It's just about impossible reading the narrow band O2 sensor output. It cycles real fast. Only thing I can do is compare left to right to see if they are doing about the same -- an output of around 450mV is supposed to equate to 14.7:1 if I recall.

so basically what you're sayin is that there's no way i'm gonna be 'testing' them.

Is it possible to clean them with MAF cleaner or carb cleaner or something of the sort?

Usually they will trip the SES in the event of a malfunction. They go bad over time, and I am not sure if they can be cleaned -- I guess they could. Because the engine acts up cold, I do not think the O2 sensors are affecting it. I believe the coolant has to hit a certain temp -- like 140 or so, before the computer starts looking at the O2's to adjust A/F. Closed loop vs. open loop engine management. Someone else like Cutlass could probably give you better info on this though.

I kind of wonder if i should look into a coolant temp sensor replacement, i just put the old one back in the new housing.

I hate the morons I am dealing with trying to close on my damn house. I'm about the rip all their heads off and pee down their throats!

I'm just about there. Have to get survey on Mon, CO possibly Mon/Tues if I can convince the inspector to do it all the same day being he works 1 day a week (fucking stupid ass small town fuckheads) then I will finally be done. My attorney's office has been horrible to deal with. My realtor isn't all that bright. My original mortgage guy pawned me off on the manager cause I went off on him. Yup overall a really shitty experience that I can't wait to get over and down with so I own my damn house

Does your car run two (2) temp sensors? One for the gauge and one for the PCM?

Also, if you have the problem cold I doubt it would be a temp sensor causing it... has to be something else. If the engine ran fine up until it was supposed to switch loops, and then developed a problem, it could conceivably be the temp sender.

I take it this will be the last house you ever own after your experiences... real estate can be so damn easy. Why they have to make it difficult is beyond me.

I honestly don't know if there are two sensors or not. I've only moved the one. I just went to autozone and those mouth breathing fucktards don't know ohms from voltage. I was going to have them test the MAP sensor, but now that i've read their 'how to' i know how to do it myself once I get it back on the car. Its quite carboned up around the port, and the gasket is probably fine to reuse. I tried spraying brake clean around the intake but i didnt figure out anything doing so. It started idling really rough after startup (before i sprayed) and smelling very rich again.

Running real rich -- could you have fouled out some plugs? I did that on my Buick recently while moving it around. After shutting it off, it would start and die. Ran like crap for the few seconds it would stay running. Cleaned the plugs and now runs like the 43 year old champ it is.

It's a great house. That is the only reason I am just cleaning up after the idiots that do it for a living. I keep asking why the hell I have an attorney when I'm handling much of it on my own

Once I close I'll be happy and able to relax. Hopefully no later than Wed of next week or I have some new challenges. Just grin and bear it through the crap to get to the goal
