Long story short, I felt bad so I followed her for 20 minutes, lured her into my car with my lunch sandwhich and dropped her off at the Covington animal shelter. She was real timid, but really sweet too-docile as hell. Once she warmed up to me, she rolled over and wanted her belly rubbed.

Had to get 24 stitches. I was a big girl though and didn't cry.
That sucks that they had to stitch it up. Watch out for a bacterial infection!

Usually dog bites aren't stitched up unless they are like super bad :/

I adopted a dog that bit my face, ripped the inside of my mouth open, but they didn't stitch it because risk of bacterial infection. It sucked having an open gash in my cheek. But nothing happened on the outside of my face thank god!

The only thing about Australian Shepard is that they are herding dogs so when kids run around the dog wants to herd them. But I've never had one before. I really want a greyhound. They're the best but a bit too big for kids.

Oh I've only had Aussies.. some try to herd ya,some dont. But they are amazing.

Get a greyhound! It doesn't matter the size of them. They are great with all kinds of people young and old. As long as you work them every day, let them run a lot, they will be really chill. They are non aggressive dogs usually. Great choice to go with.

I really like greyhounds but when my kids are around them they're sorta afraid. I don't blame them when the dog is almost as tall as them.

I figure a small dog will work best for the kids. No chihuahuas or anything that small and brittle. I guess medium size is best. We are trying to adopt a dog we saw last weekend but the lady who runs the agency can't stick to her appointment and it's driving me nuts. grrr

Yeah that can get frustrating!! You'll find the perfect dog, when it all works out, thats the one for you and your kids!

Welsh corgis are good.. or jack Russell terrier if you can stand the barking.
