i saw on motor trend the stats on the g8 gxp and with an ls3 at 415hp it only does 13 sec in the 1/4. i guess it just goes to show how a far a little weight reduction and aerodynamic can go. especially for 38k loaded.

yeah it does, i just don't like to see it from the same family. I was thinking about the same thing about the mods. My fiance was thinking about getting one until i told her the 1/4 time...then we talked about both have fourth gens and modding with the extra money we saved!

no but i've read in the dtriot press and gm execs say they are scaling back...keeping the g5, the vibe and the g8 platforms..........anything else ?

Ha Ha... alright, alright. All I'm saying is I've heard both scenarios. The major news networks reported last week that GM was "cutting" SAAB, Saturn, And only offering Pontiac via special order. The main point to my statement was and still is, I don't understand why GM has cut Olds and now, let's just say, majorly overhauling Pontiac instead of just cutting their losses with Buick. That's all man.

slp firehawk g8?????..thats the funnyest thing i ever heard of....like the article said you can get a cadillac for the same price and get more horsepower....sounds to me like gm is putting a gun to their own heads and playing russian roulet...maybe to get more stymulis money???? i dont know...but that slp g8 thing is just silly waste of money...dont get me wrong i actually like the g8...fast and you can put the kids in the back seat and look good doin it...just cant get past the firehawk thing

holy smokes batman! back from the dead..this is a new development..part of their NEW viability plan they just created ( hard to have seen this back in February when it didnt exist btw)
their old viability plan that got rejected by the administration..called for scaling back of pontiac....so no i do know wtf is going on.

i guess i was just a pontiac profit way back two months ago... no... i heard reports that this was possible and you discredited me... sorry... but regardless... it sucks.
