    2000 bonneville

My dad replaced the modulator about a year ago and it went again. When he went to re-install the new one, someone suggested using electrolite grease. However, another person suggested not using it. Anyone have any input??

If you're talkin' a modular valve on a trans, I dunno how any kind of grease is going to help for anything.

We would need to know what "Module" or "Modulator" you are talking about.

You mean ignition module. Not "modulator".

If you didn't use dielectric grease, thats probably the reason the replacement module failed. You have to use dielectric grease on the module where required.

thanks man, so use some dielectric grease on the module for the ignition and it should be good to go?

I believe it may require special heatsink grease actually, I'm not sure if regular dielectric grease is good enough.
