great deal on craftsman tool set....

If this is a problem guys just delete the thread but looking at our sponsor list none of them sell tools that I'm aware of and for sure not craftsman tools. Anyone looking for a decent starter tool set it's tough to beat this deal. 220 piece craftsman set for $79. That's about 50% off.

That is a good set at a great price. Add some pliers, maybe an adjustable wrench and a few extensions and you would have a real decent tool box for travel for not a whole lot of $$.

it won't accept the TOOLS15 promo for $15 off.....it gave me the $5 off for VALPAK5 but won't accept the other one. It shows as free shipping and I'm wondering if that's why it won't take the $15. I'm looking for other promo codes now to see if I can get any others to work $94.99 shipped probably still isn't a bad price but that's really only $5 off with free shipping above what you get as a club member. Not sounding as sweet to me really.

when did you order it? I'm wondering then if that tool15 code is no longer good then. That or they started selling a shit load of them and shut it down.

You got a pretty nice little tool set there for $85.....can't complain about that at all. I have a ton of tools already but the more I thought about it the better it sounded having a complete set to put in the camper so I went to get it today and ran into the tool15 issue.

Ordered it on Friday morning and the code worked fine, even tried looking up some other codes but when I added them it didn't drop the total any more. I've got plenty of tools at home but like you said as far as a decent toolbox to have in the truck when I'm out and about, really hard to beat for the price

I know it looks like a good deal but these set are made up of "smalls", odd sizes and surplus inventory. They do have needed tools but if you go tool by tool you will find more than half will never see action. 4,5,6, 7mm sockets, a bunch of driver bits too small to use and so on... This set is more for a homeowner then a mechanic. JMHO

Some of those odd sizes are better suited for my truck rather than just my camaro. I'd much rather have them and not need them then need them and not have them.
