Go man Go Orange- 1971 Olds 442 W-30
Ok so heres some info on it. Me and my Dad restored it together over the past 5 years. The whole engine, engine bay, interior, trunk, and underneath was done by me and my Dad, the paint and body work was done by a local shop.
The car started out as a cutlass s with a stock 455ci and turbo 400 trans. The car now has the W-30 replacement heads, W-30 intake, W-30 Q-jet, OAI system, W-30 suspension upgrade, Hurst Dual-Gate shifter, 12 bolt, with 3:42 posi rearend, W-30 gauge package, Mickey Thompson Valve covers-custom painted and polished by myself, adjustable upper control arms in the rear, lower control arms, and more I can't think of atm. EDIT: engine has a 521 lift cam, True 10.5/1 compression pistons, ported and polished heads, and roller rockers-built for decent power but overall driveability and reliability.
Coming by 2012- Holley Double Pumper Carb, 4 speed manual conversion, tubular control arms.Last edited by David21; 03-22-2010 at 07:55 AM.

Very nice! Thought it might be Rallye Red at first, but it looks more bronze -- what is it?

Thanks , me too
It shifts in different lighting, It's Go-Man-G0, the orange that the first srt8 chargers had, except they used a dark primer, I used a light.
The color only was used for 1 or 2 years.
Believe it or not, what first made me to use a metallic orange was when I saw a sunset orange metallic T/A ws6 at the State Fair 4 or 5 years ago.

2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
Nice! I like that color. I see you used the red plastic inner fenderwells too.
1 thing though: I may be wrong but shouldn't the heater hose goes over the top of the alternator bracket?

Yea, I did alot of research before I did it, I made the car 99% stock -the color, headers, and exhaust oh and valve covers.
ha no thanks, I hate chrome in an engine bay, I like the clean original look. the valve covers are painted blue and polished aluminum.
Thanks
