Impulse Blurr- 2004 GTO
I had a 70 firebird with a powerglide but I ditched that and got a 73 LeMans Sport with a 400 and I loved that car! It was black and looked mean. Don't ask me for specifics (this was WAY back in 1983) but I remember I put a 540 (I believe) lift Crane Cam in it with a Performer dual plane mid-rise manifold and a Holly 750cfm carb with mechanical secondaries. Black Jack long tubes and a B&M trans pack/shift kit. I was in auto tech school engine rebuilding class and was making good money for being 17 years old ($250 a week LOL!) Me and my classmates did all of the work under the supervision of my instructor from the crankshaft out. Balanced the rods and pistons, shaved the heads ect. That thing was a torque monster! And big as a battleship . . . I sold it when I went on the Aircraft Carrier after graduation.

really whats his sn on here ?I would go for the carbed to.tune it yourself are u goin with the t56 or the auto ?
Classic muscle is the only way to go i bet you watch out for carving the canyons on stock suspension haha.
Those Lemans are awesome machines of power, torque and the will to keep on going after beating the snot out of them. How long did you have it ?Last edited by 402 Guru; 12-10-2009 at 05:49 AM. Reason: auto

Impulse Blurr- 2004 GTO
I only had it for 2 years. I went into the Navy after highschool and sold it to a buddy of mine cuz it made no sense to me to carry insurance on a car that was gonna sit while I was out of the country for 6+ months at a time. Insurance is big $$$ when you are that young and on military wages.
I live in South Florida, the closest thing we have to a canyon road is a highway off ramp LOL! When I was in Pennsylvania I had an IROC Daytona but the roads there are terrible and the suspension took a real beating. Thank god my dad owned the Dodge dealership, it really saved my ass on repairs. I tore up all kinds of control arms and I cracked 2 rims on pot-holes.
I love the 04' GTO that I have now. I put a Harrop sport differential mount and a full Pedders bushing kit in it about a month ago and this thing grips like a SOB now. If only I could find a twisty back country road to actually take a turn on! I might drive it up up to Lewisville North Carolina some day and visit my buddy, they've got plenty of twistys up there.Last edited by Goat-E; 12-10-2009 at 11:58 AM.

Arctic White & Black- '98 WS6 M6 - SWAPTIME!
I have a '72 Camaro SS that I had originally put in a 383 Stroker with forged internals and nitrous (hate that crap)
now that I'm selling it, it has a brand new 350 in it.
Nothin super exciting, but it's a neat looking car

yes thats understandable im inlisted in the airforce and have alought of free time on my hands so recently i have not been able to drive my car and it sucks but i know when i get home i get to drive the hell out of my car till the wheels fall off after all the work i put into it i figure theres no way in hell i'll ever sell mine . If you want( for a x-mas gift to yourself theres sales everywhere) to take some corners off the freeway rams like Powersliding or faint drifting then get a bigger sway bar when u go cross country and you will thank yourself that u added it
Yeah i dislike nitrous with a passion( my wife likes to use it though) after my drag racing days i buit a 9.5 nitrous ls1 then rebuilt the sob after 15 runs because i kept trying to break records but my bank got broken instead lol the 72 ss is a Sick example of american muscle
Sounds sick i don't preferably like ls1.com they think that they are invincible where people on here are friendly when they are just like everyone else thats why i think this site Rocks and are Moderators rock i'll check that build out it looks interesting what kind of a stall did he go with ?Last edited by 402 Guru; 12-12-2009 at 07:34 PM.

Until the Trans Am, our fun cars were all old school: '74 Corvette L-82, '70 Cutlass W-31, '67 Cutlass with a 330, and three '66 Buicks which will be combined to build one Wildcat convertible motivated by a 401 Nailhead, with a 340 as a backup motor.

This is the original Wildcat: http://www.ls1.com/forums/showthread.php?t=117428 I have the entire chassis, engine and driveline completed setting next to it. The restoration originally started out with a '66 LeSabre convertible -- hence the 340 engine. In searching for impossible to find parts, a gentleman in Virginia sold me a 4 door LeSabre and the Wildcat. In the interim, I had started the restoration on the Corvette, which is completed, and the W-31, which the chassis is completed.
