Back when I was doing my Chevelles (I had a 69 and a 69 1/2, the love of my life) The only place I could find parts (body, interior etc...) were junk yards if I was lucky and mail order catalogs. I used to go through Chevelle Classics way back then. Yes. I'm old
I'll say this, the Internet opens up a whole new world for finding parts. Just keep checking in your local listings as well and good luck finding everything you need.
And of course, keep us updated

IMHO, the 64-72 A body's from G.M. were the best cars to ever leave the assembly line....So yeah,I'm a Chevelle fan. I have a 69 ss chevelle with a 396,4-speed,and a 12 bolt.
Good luck with your project!!

Black- 99 WS.6 - Modified
In general, I prefer the early chevelles over the later model ones - too many running around. They're nice cars, don't get me wrong, just it seems like everybody has a 71 or 72. But then again, I like a lot of cars that other people don't, so it's all good. Now a well customized car - usually no matter what kind - I'm all about.

If it doesn't have the round pods vs sweep speedometer then it's not an SS. Round pods were part of the SS package with 1 exception: the Heavy Chevy. It was basically an SS with a small block 350/4V sold as an insurance beater. Had the SS interior with either buckets or bench along with a 12 bolt rear.

yeah mine has the 12 bolt in it with like i said disk brakes in the front, everything i have been able to find out with the car is that it was a 350/4v but prob not an ss. still in decent shape, will have new floors in this weekend, changed both quarter's and lower rocker moldings, other than that she isnt to bad. a few small patch's in the trunk and roof and all the sheet metal work will be done. Had bigger hopes for the car but i still have enough time in my life to build another one. Just hope i can sell it to someone who will actually finish the car completley and not just part it out...

the frame will look something like this, but with the exhaust going through the rear cross member, and rear coilover bar, then powder coated silver or gunmetal gray, thanks for the help kahanareef. i guess the pic is to big or something?

Use the IMG code photobucket gives you. No need to add the tags here.
