571 dyno run
This is a 571 my father had built last year for his GTO. Built by BES Racing, winner of several EMC's including the most recent one.
This is a very mild pump gas engine, with alot of BES tricks inside. Built with torque in mind and a somewhat low RPM to make peak HP, to make it more pleasurable to drive since this is a 100% street car. This was dyno'd with the chassis headers as installed in the car, along with mufflers and a very stingy dyno for a little more realistic dyno number. No fancy dyno headers and exagerated numbers.

Installed in the car and running for the first time

I've posted pics of this car in the past for other subjects.
Here's a shot of it at Norwalk several years back. This is with the old 455 pump gas engine I built for it.

Here's a recent shot of the car with the new hood installed to clear the new engine.

Ha, it'll be here in my shop by then. Parents are in the early process of moving as we speak. Already made one trip out with the trailer, coming back for the rest.
Going to tear it down for him and give it a fresh paint job, send the converter out for a restall, and build a 9" for the new engine since we don't think it's a good idea to abuse the 12 bolt currently in it, even though it's held up for a dozen years of dragstrip abuse. Figured it's a good time to take some rear gear out of it as well. It doesn't need 3.73's anymore with the torque curve this thing has.
