1980 monte from hell

hello everyone

i have a 1980 chevy monte carlo.that is currently going through a heart transplant.the new heart is a 70mm turbo charged 4.8 with a 4l80 trans and the factor rear.of course the rear is going to be built to handle such power.The motor setup is rear monted 70mm turbo with 72lbs injectors,ls6 cam,the stock heads will be ported by tea,and the long block is stock. will should make over 680 to 700 hp at the rear wheel.16 lbs of boost.the ecu that will run this setup will be the new holley dominator efi.

I dont want any 3.73 gears or 3.42 grears i would like the stock highway gears.what my question is will this combo be streetable with the 2.56 gears and have respectable mpg.

Not sure what the first gear ratio is in a 4L80E. Since your power comes in later with a turbo, it may be a bit doggy down low but then wake up as things start to churn. As long as you keep your foot out of it, you should get great mileage with overdrive and that gear ratio. Most LS equipped rides that the members have on here run anywhere from 2.73 to 4.10 gears, with the A4 guys really liking 3.73's out back. Since you have overdrive, even 3.23's would get you respectable mileage and a little more bottom end grunt.
