will stock injectors work?
i have a 1998 ss m6. im putting a 85mm bbk intake, pacesetter longtubes with ory, 228/228 cam, PRC stage 2.5 5.3l heads, and hsw 75 shot dry. my question is what kind of horsepower will i be making and will my stock injectors be able to handle it?

well that's not the mildest cam, nor the most aggressive. you'll see 390-410 naturally aspirated with those heads, and 480 on the juice. the stock injectors will work, but the duty cycle will be too high for them to work for long. the stock injectors lose "comfortability" at around 400 wheel (which is a conservative number). seeing how failed injectors could destroy a nitrous'd motor easily, i'd get some in the 3x lb/hr range, if not more depending on what you want to do in future.

Side is right. if you have a software pacage for tuning and data logging, look up your maximum injector duty cycle. the highest you should see is 85%, any higher than that you need bigger injectors. if I remember correctly in 98 the F-bodies came with 28lb injectors, maybe 26lb.
I'd be looking for around 36lb for your setup

haha cheap and injectors don't usually fall into the same sentence. here is probably your best bet for a set of used ones. people are always needin' to go bigger 'cuz their cars are never fast enough.

Yes they will work, Im running the #30 red SVO injectors on almost the same setup as you, however I have a 224/224 and put down 428 rwhp/407ftlbs. You will like that setup. It pulls like a SOB and a is very streetable. Definitely get the injectors though as your stock ones just won't cut it.
