Black- 1980 Chevrolet Camaro
will this cam be ok?
im buildin a 408 stroker out of a LQ9
like my question says i got a cam i can pick up for 200 bucks
two diff ones.
will either be good for my set up?
Comp cams 240 248 .615 .608 on a 112 - $200
Comp cams 248 240 .637 .615 on a 112 - $200
sort of a budget build(college student) so im lookin for these kinds of deals..going with l92 heads, fast intake(92 or 102 and matching TB) idk if thatll help..
new to the whole LS enginesLast edited by LS1980camaro; 01-21-2009 at 06:34 PM.

m6, or a4? is it going to be a daily driver, track car, or weekend toy? any reason you were looking at the reverse split cams instead of a standard cam?
those cams sound little big to me for standard motor size, but might work ok on a stroker.
the second cam has awful high lift, that might give you piston to valve clearance problems.
hopefully one of the stroker guys will jump in and give some good info for you.

those l92 heads like a specific kind of cam; it's not a place to pinch your pennies. Get one spec'd for your setup and look to save $ somewhere else. It could literally be the difference in loving and hating the car and it's results. Seriously.

Either cam would run well. I would really look into the new TR MAxx Stroker LSXZ with 254/266 .701/.399 106 LSA. Pulls hard.
