Question What's a forged bottom end???????

I run 9lbs of boost on a stock bottom end. The guys at the performance shop said I need to have a forged bottom end. Is a forged bottom end replacing the pistons, rods, and crank?

I was told that a stock crank from an 02 SS can hold up to 700hp is that true?

What are some recommendations or combinations have you used along with approximate price of parts?

Stock crank is good to lots of power. Get it polished and use again.
Get the block honed. Will bump it to a 347ci.
You will want a solid set of rods and pistons.

I like my Lunati ProMod rods and Mahle pistons.
Rods are $700 or so. Pistons are $600 or so. At least last time I checked.

    GREAT rods.

I went with the non-billet version. $600 less.

Your also not having problems with them ether are you?

Do you think the pro mod billet rods are worth the 600 bones extra??

Maybe just for a crazy high revving engine?

    No problems.
If you are planning on making 1000RWHP....the billet's would be worth it.
