what size rockers for Trex cam?

hi I'm new on here, this is my first post. I tried to search for the answer myself but I probably overlooked it .
I'm going with patriot extreme springs on ported stock heads with stock valves. I asked the tech at TR and he recomened 7.425 push rods and to stay with the stock 1.7 rockers. I also read a review on GM high tech where they used stock rockers with this cam and they wore out the guides.

has anyone used bigger rockers with this cam? would I be safe running 1.72 rockers?

The stock rockers are fine. That article involved heads with brass guides, the theory being that rollers would put less lateral stress on the guides. You'll find that about 90% of cammed cars run stockers (for years now)without issues so I wouldn't be concerned.

If you're going to look at rockers, pay attentiontion to whether or not valve covers need to be clearenced, etc.

I ran a g5x4 with stock rockers for about a year and have ran the same rockers for a blower cam for another two years.

You should be fine with the stockers.

wow I didn't realize they could handle so much. this is my first LS1 car, I had a 95 TA before and one of the first nesecary supporting mods you have to do when swapping a cam on the LT1 is ditch the stock rockers, so I just assumed (WRONGLY) that it would have to be done on these motors too
