TSP Torquer II - max safe mill on ls6 head???
tsp torquer II 232/234 .595/.598 112+0 LSA
Patriot Performance LS6 (243 casting) heads 64.45 chamber cc
what would be the MAX mill with out any flycutting when running a stock MLS gasket (aprox .054")
i've found 1cc on gm ls6 casting is .07 mill and .10 mill... i believe the .07 is more accurate... similarly most people assume 243's are 64 cc... but these slight differences play a big part when worrying about PTV Clearances
im thinking between 60-61.5 cc would be max

your best bet would be to call Gunnar at Patriot Performance and ask him. you generally want a .100" clearance for PTV. i have the exact same heads as you except for they are the 59cc chambers and i was told that cam will work without flycutting, but to have a clay test done to measure the thickness just to be sure. good luck...

you have the "ls6 style" though dont you? if so they're not 243 castings so wouldnt clearance be different?

you know i will have to look into that. it says they use "new GM raw 035 castings"., since they are "Ls6 style heads". i definately do not want to tell or give misinformation to you or anyone. after all, i am looking at installing a T.v2 or a TSP 231/237 in the near future myself. i guess it looks like i get to call Patriot back and have a few more questions answered...
