TSP 228R or 224 XE (spring life and LSA ?s)
In the spring I know I am going to get a stall (3200-3600) and tune along with a cam, I am trying to do my homework so I know what I am getting into before I purchase and install. I am looking at the TSP 228/228 .588/.588 @112 (or114)LSA or the TSP 224/224 .566/.566 @112 (or114) LSA. I would like the the idle to be choppy but not so much it shakes the whole car apart. so how does a 114 LSA sound, does it pretty much sound like the stock cam? If so I will go with the 112. also I am hoping to get as much life out of the new springs as possible so whould I go with the 224 cam since the lift is not as high as the 228 cam. Would the springs last longer with the 224 cam is what I am asking. I really dont want to have to change my springs alot. Let me know guys.

get the 228 cam and dual springs, you wont need to change them but every 25k miles if that. also the 228 cam will give better power.
a 114 lsa doesnt sound stock at all.
as for chop, it all depends on where youre idle is set. have it at about 750 rpm.2000 nhra edition formula

My manager has a vig 3200, and the TSP 228/.588 on 112, with the dual springs. I dont think that they will wear fast at all, i would think more than 25,000 miles. His car idles nicely and doesnt shake all to bad. Pulls hard as hell all the time. Anything is possible with a good tune.

I am having a hard time deciding between the 112 or the 114, I havent heard a 114 before I believe a local guy has a 112 and it sounds pretty good on the outside. I want it a bit of a lope but like i said not too much since its my DD.

If you're going N/A, I'd go with 114. You don't want too much overlap or you'll lose some power. But if you are running juice, maybe later on, then go ahead and get the 112 LSA.
Luos is running a 114 LSA on his 402. He's got a bunch of vids on here somewhere. It sounds mean as hell too.

I'm running PRC dual springs with hardened pushrods in my new setup... I'm really leaning towards the tsp228..... How much more choppy would the 112 be vs the 114 LSA?
